The dark winter months are over, the clocks have gone forward and we’re slowly moving into the warmth and light. Your body, mind and spirit are waking up with this change of season – ready for new dreams to come into your life.
It’s time for this fresh new energy to fuel your growth.
But in order to take full advantage of it, you need to prepare.
Welcome the Spring and awaken your body by committing to a new ritual of ease and release – where you can just focus on you.
Take a moment to consider these questions:
- Do you feel low on energy?
- Are you feeling a little more stiff than usual?
- Are you over 50 and looking for a way to get back in touch with your body?
- Are you looking for a low-impact, holistic regime that gets you fitter and stronger, but doesn’t cause exhaustion and pain?
- Do you have specific health issues that need addressing?
- Are you looking for a guide who understands where you’re at in this later (beautiful) phase of your life?
- Are you approaching or have already experienced the menopause and you’re looking for a way to reconnect with your body, mind and spirit?
If you answered yes to any of these questions why not join us on the morning of 24th April to awaken your body mind and spirit.
I’m Laura McGlennon. I’m a mother and a grandmother, I’m almost 70 years old, and I can still touch my toes!
I’m a spiritual person with a long and continuing professional background in therapy and exercise, and I always endeavour to share my training and knowledge with others.
Yoga is a practise that not only makes you fitter and healthier; it challenges your mind. It focuses you. It gives you a sense of calm that allows you to pause, to breathe and step away from the noise.
When we practice together, we focus on individual growth and strength. Yoga is never a competition. Yoga should never be painful. It is a form of exercise that goes beyond the physical, cultivating stamina and energy, while releasing anxiety and tension.
I love yoga, and I’m thrilled to be able to offer you this workshop as you journey back to your mind and body this spring.
We will start the day with a Yoga practise designed to support and nurture your body into the changing vibrational frequency of the energy of Spring.
Learn how to adjust your body and find new ways to ease yourself gently into postures you might find more challenging as you age.
After the class we will take a short break put the kettle on and enjoy a refreshing cleansing organic herbal tea as I introduce you to our very special guest Mandy Tovey from Lux Healing, a Neals Yard Independent Consultant and Holistic Therapist.
Mandy will create a moment of mindfulness by guiding you through a luxurious facial using Neal’s Yard organic skincare aimed at those with the first and second signs of aging. You will be delighted at how this regime will give you a boost of hydration and soothe the mind and spirit using the sacred ingredient frankincense from the Boswellia sacra trees in Oman.
Mandy will also give advice and guidance on a natural, organic and holistic age well journey with hints and tips for menopause. A pamper pack is included and will be sent in advance with everything you need to participate, including samples of the products from the premium Neal’s Yard Frankincense Intense age well range.
There will also be plenty of time after the pampering to ask more questions.
When you are ready, we will finish up the morning with Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) a guided deep relaxation, a powerful technique where we learn to relax consciously. Yoga (meaning Union) Nidra (meaning Sleep) is often referred to as psychic sleep or deep relaxation by turning inwardly, away from outer experience, to assist transforming yourself and your life from within.
So why not take the first step, invest in yourself and let us help you to achieve your goals?
You need to book your place as soon as possible, (no later than Monday 12th April) as we need to send your “Pamper Pack” out in the post to ensure you receive it in plenty of time for the workshop.
Once you’ve booked, I will email you with some questions and ask for your address to send you your Pamper Pack.
Mandy will also email you with some instructions about what to bring with you to the pampering session.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
What People say about Laura:
“Laura who has the ability to nurture your inner yogi no matter what stage your yoga journey.
Her instruction goes beyond demonstration. I like how Laura has the ability to recognise individual
needs, if you can’t quite get into the main posture yet, she suggests alternatives which can help to
get you there eventually, so you always feel you are maximising the opportunity to be all you can be.
My understanding of yoga has increased as has my energy levels, stamina and inner peace.
Kim Ross, Leith, Edinburgh/Sweden.
“I have worked with Laura and highly recommend her expertise, knowledge and professionalism
with everything that she does. Laura offers a very specialist and unique service, her experience
and expertise is second to none, with her knowledge showing in everything she does. Her kind
nature and professional manner makes it a great experience working with Laura and I would not
hesitate to recommend her.”
Shelagh Haywood – Professional Life Coach
“The practice of yoga can contribute to enhanced performance in other sports. In my own sport,
lawn bowls, my abilities have greatly improved over the past few years from yoga exercises. My
body muscles have become more supple through yoga postures, and my concentration has
improved through yogic breathing exercises. I would recommend taking up yoga as part of the
training for all those seeking to develop their abilities in sport generally”
John. A. Frances, Edinburgh
“I have been attending Laura’s Yoga classes for 4 years now and I have never been so fit.
She provides clear instructions and walks around the class to ensure that each student is
performing to the best of their ability. I would strongly recommend Laura as a Yoga teacher
for all levels.”
Jacalyn Max, Edinburgh/Oxford
